The Cat
How noble is the mighty cat!The ruler of the Transvaal veldt,
So independent, still at that,
So sinewy and somehow svelte!
I love the way you work your plan
To dominate this little house.
Disdain the sad affairs of man,
Yet terrorize your catnip mouse.
I love the way you gently purr
On my lap in jumbled heap,
I find that I'm afraid to stir
Despite the fact my leg's asleep!
I love the way you swish your tail,
Your pounce, your leap your graceful falls.
There's but one count on which you fail,
Can we please talk about hairballs?
